SolidWorks Packages
SolidWorks is a Windows-based, easy to use 3D Mechanical Computer Aided Design Package. Despite being the easiest program of its kind, it is also one of the most powerful, trusted by over 1,000,000 users at over 120,000 companies worldwide. Also, many schools and Universities use SolidWorks as part of their Design and Engineering courses. It is fully parametric meaning changes can be made efficiently allowing you to spend more time designing your products and less time working around a CAD system. SolidWorks is a sketch/feature based so it is the most straightforward approach of 3D modelling for 2D users, but also has tools to use direct modelling techniques. In fact, the majority of our customers have come from a 2D Autodesk AutoCAD background and have made significant time savings and productivity gains just by changing their design tool to SolidWorks.
SolidWorks is available in 3 commercial bundles and an Educational Edition: SolidWorks Standard, SolidWorks Professional and SolidWorks Premium. There are also a full suite of Simulation tools for advanced Finite Element Analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics all based inside the same easy to use Windows-based interface.
