Job Description	Job Title: Solidworks Engineer Department: Contracts Reports To: Contracts Director Contract type Contract ( 6 month ) to permanent subject to review and work load. The post is based within our multi-disciplinary Contracts team, reporting to the Contracts Director. The team provides service to customers and specifiers on bespoke lighting and street furniture products, from the first point of enquiry to installation.
Experience Required	The Engineer will work on projects from initial enquiries to delivery and installation on site, producing initial scheme drawings, detailed arrangements and parts drawings for manufacture together with drawings and details to aid assembly and installation on site. As well as being proficient in the use of Solideworks the selected candidate must also be willing to learn how to use our internal MRP system (Microsoft AX Dynamics) for the construction of bills of material, works orders and supporting production documentation. They will also be expected to assist in the production of project specific technical data, including O&M & Installation documents together with helping in the selection of suppliers and setting and checking of quality standards. The selected candidate must be organised, confident and articulate, with an excellent telephone manner and personal presentation. Qualifications	Main Functions & Responsibilities • Creation of General Arrangement drawings for approval. • Creation of scheme drawings and visuals for enquiries • Produce detail drawings and specifications for manufacture • Provide technical support and assistance to the external sales team and directly to customers as required. • Produce bills of material and routing to allow orders to be processed through the business using AX Dynamics. • Liaison with suppliers including, discussing manufacturing details, obtaining quotations and delivery details • Liaison with production and installation teams to ensure products are made efficiently, safely and on time. • Ensure that safe procedures and good practise are followed in manufacture, assembly and installation. • Identify opportunities for value engineering on projects • Ensure projects meet identified quality standards • Attend off site project meetings and site meetings where required • Identify technical issues ‘risks’ and advice man
Salary Range	£24,000 - £28,000
