SSM has 29 support engineers who provide award winning customer support and maintenance to more than 2,800 customers covering nearly 42,000 seats (incl. Edu):
- All engineers are SolidWorks certified and hold a combined 111 technical certifications
- All engineers hold a minimum a Bachelor of Engineering degree
- Engineers are able to:
– solve issues arising from technical and installation issues
– offer consulting advice on best practice product use and design advice
– solve the majority of technical issues remotely using direct access to client networks
The SolidWorks range is our main focus with the three key SolidWorks packages comprising some 20 modules. We also offer extensions to SolidWorks (integrated SolidWorks applications) covering design validation / simulation, document management, manufacturing (NC) and technical document publication. This wide range of applications necessitates provision of an extensive technical/sales team of 50+ engineers to ensure that the extended skills matrix required is covered. Regular training and examinations / certifications are an essential investment to which we are fully committed.
SSM continues to win many awards for customer service, technical support and growth, using feedback from regular independent customer surveys to drive ongoing improvements to service levels.
The four founders of the business form the board of directors, with key managers brought in to add greater management rigour to the customer support operations and provide more extensive geographical cover through our newer offices.
Solid Solutions commenced business in 1998 and has consistently achieved strong growth year-on-year to become the UK’s leading CAD reseller. Growth has been organic and has resulted from a focus on recruiting the best staff from academia and industry and by delivering high quality services to more than 2,800 customers. Our customers range widely in size and are drawn from a broad spectrum of industry sectors.
Headquartered in Warwick, SSM also has satellite offices in Fareham, Durham, Sheffield, Leeds, London, AND Cambridge. In addition we provide training courses from affiliate centres throughout the UK.
