Another 'Elite' Application Engineer at Solid Solutions

Tuesday June 4, 2013 at 4:10pm

Anyone who has attempted a SOLIDWORKS certification will know that they don't make it easy. Each exam is a significant test of knowledge and skill. For resellers like Solid Solutions, they set the bar even higher with many more exams than just the ones available to the customer community. These cover everything from the ability to run advanced simulation studies correctly to setting up and managing a document management database with Enterprise EPDM as well as all the regular tools in SOLIDWORKS itself.

In recognition of exceptional skill, SOLIDWORKS award the coveted 'Elite' Application Engineer status to engineers who have proven expertise in depth and breadth. The entry point to this is passing the Certified SOLIDWORKS Professional (CSWP) and Certified SOLIDWORKS Expert (CSWE) exams - these total 8 exams and many hours in the exam room - but that is just the beginning! Further exams must be passed in SOLIDWORKS Composer; SOLIDWORKS Flow Simulation; SOLIDWORKS Simulation Professional including Motion; Enterprise EPDM Technician and Administrator, SOLIDWORKS Plastics / SOLIDWORKS Electrical and Sustainability.

In recognition of achieving 'Elite' status, SOLIDWORKS make a special award to new Elite AE's at SOLIDWORKS World in the USA. I am delighted to say that my colleague Stephen White has just been awarded his Elite status and will be off to San Diego early next year. This is a great achievement, well done Steve!

At SSM we actively strive for as many certifications as we possibly can - not just so that we get to go to the US for SOLIDWORKS World :) but so that our customers have access to the most talented and committed pool of SOLIDWORKS specialist enabling them to have the best available support.
