SOLIDWORKS Drive your Electrical designs using Excel as a configurator
SOLIDWORKS Electrical can create schematic project content based on entries from an MS-Excel worksheet. The worksheet contains pointers to SOLIDWORKS Electrical macros (not to be confused with MS-Excel VBA macros). These macros will be inserted in the project using values specified in the MS-Excel worksheet.
SOLIDWORKS Electrical reads the first worksheet in the MS-Excel file so it is possible to add a user interface and customisation in other sheets within the MS-Excel file that will automatically populate the first worksheet so the system can be driven using a friendly non-technical user interface.
Throughout the course of this 20 minute webcast we will look at;
- How to create a SOLIDWORKS Electrical macro?
- How to create and edit the MS-Excel input file?
- Using variables in your SOLIDWORKS Electrical macros.
- Adding automation to your MS-Excel file.
This webcast is suitable for those who have been trained or are competent SOLIDWORKS Electrical users and are reasonably competent with editing MS-Excel files.
