As one of the most respected and fastest growing acoustic companies in the UK we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced 3D Solidworks Design Engineer to join our team as part of the continued growth and development of the of the business.

Key functions of the role include:
• Accurate interpretation of design specification and client drawings.
• Preparation of Solidworks 3D models, general layout, assembly and detail drawings in line with client’s requirements and design standards.
• Producing bills of material
• Processing engineering changes.
• Working closely with manufacturing team to improve new and existing product designs within a design for manufacture environment
• Provide engineering assistance to sales and manufacturing departments as necessary.

The candidate must:
• Be educated to HNC or equivalent
• Be able to demonstrate excellent technical competence, ideally in steel fabrication.
• Possess demonstrable experience and a sound working knowledge of Solidworks 3D within a mechanical engineering ideally sheet metal and fabrication environment.
• Possess a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and assembly techniques in a bespoke manufacturing environment
• Positive contributor to the ongoing development of the product range
• Have good time management skills and high work ethics.
• Be focused , methodical with good analytical skills
• Be a strong communicator and team player
• Be self- motivated with the ability to work in a busy fast paced environment
