Description
The Junior Design Engineer works within the Pneumatics division under supervision of the Design Engineer, and is responsible for drawing up parts & assemblies to suit customer requirements. The role will evolve with experience by interpreting customer requirements into appropriate and cost-effective designs that can be fabricated by the workshop team, and which support lean manufacturing processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. To work with the Design Engineer understanding the customer requirements so that accurate designs and drawings can be agreed
2. To measure all around vehicles to design bespoke equipment
3. To produce relevant and detailed technical drawings and 3D models for each project that use the most efficient and cost-effective methods
4. Responsible for the timely completion of all related administration
5. To ensure compliance with all aspects of Health & Safety
6. To ensure equality and diversity is actively promoted in the workplace
7. To work as part of the wider Priden team, supporting other colleagues and undertaking additional duties as required
8. Any other duty as directed by the Design Engineer
