WatchoverMe is an emerging wearable mobile phone OEM bringing to the market a next-generation family of mobile telehealthcare technologies providing social alarm, falls prediction, cardiac imaging and surface acoustic wave (SAW) virus detection services – particularly for the global (non China) >248m Assisted Living elderly community. The original wearable phone can be seen at www.mobellatap.com and the Company’s 2021 target is 18m units. We are a mature >5yr start-up.
A Product Design Director is required to instigate and oversee the evolution of all our mobile phone casing, packaging and integrated corporate image material for 21 countries. Hence design strategy is to accommodate diverse aesthetic and demographic characteristics.
Initially a part time role that will lead to a full time position, the Product Design Director will complete the SolidWorks CADs for our MKll “avocado” enclosure and clothing fixing. This will accommodate the new 4G pcb whose wireless radiated power is designed to substantially outperform all current wearable phones, including the Apple Watch (GPS + Cellular) models.
However the essential discipline is not just the technology, it is acceptance by mass market consumers of a wearable phone. Consequently the preferred candidate will have both profound CAD competence and a sensitive understanding of electronic consumer science.
