The Opportunity

We are currently looking to recruit a Technical Support Engineer to support continued growth within our Data Management department. If successful you will be working within a team of PDM Specialists based out of our Leamington Spa head office, where you will be providing the technical support and training services that ensure successful SOLIDWORKS PDM implementations within our customer base. Although initially a post-sales role you may also get involved in the delivery of the solutions that you will support.

Job Description

Role and Responsibilities:

You will provide our customers the highest quality technical support on queries relating to SOLIDWORKS PDM and SOLIDWORKS Manage and their associated infrastructures, troubleshooting to find the optimal solution via the telephone, email or “one to one” using collaborative Internet support services.
You will deliver classroom, and occasionally, on premise, training to customers on the use and administration of SOLIDWORKS PDM products.
You will actively contribute to the creation of content such as Blogs and Technical Support Documents.

Your Experience / Skills

Qualifications & Requirements:

You will possess a higher-level qualification, or be able to demonstrate suitable previous experience, in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or another relevant technical field.
You will have knowledge and previous experience working with Microsoft Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems. Additional experience or qualifications using Microsoft SQL Server and/or Windows Networking services would be of additional benefit.
Previous experience of developing software using tools such as Visual Basic, .Net, C++ or C# although not required, would be a major advantage.
Experience using SOLIDWORKS PDM and SOLIDWORKS although advantageous, is not essential, as training will be provided.
You will possess excellent communication skills, verbal and written and be a good listener.
Physical requirements of job may include sitting or standing for extended period; walking; some lifting and carrying of objects up to 25 Kgs; typing/use of keyboard and phone; ability to travel to customer sites locally and occasional longer distance trips with overnight stay required (whence a valid Driver’s license would be a major asset).
