About the Event

Hosted at the Innovation Centre, at the heart of the Titanic Quarter, we invite you to an open workshop to learn about the leading start-ups programme for design and manufacturing.

Through our Platinum Partnership with Dassault Systèmes and the Catalyst Innovation Centre, this is a great opportunity to hear about the free tools and support available to start-ups and scale-ups in Belfast and Northern Ireland.

Guest Speaker - Paul Malcomson

Hear from our guest speaker - Paul Malcomson is Innovate UK’s Manager for Northern Ireland. His role is to raise the profile and awareness of Innovate UK in Northern Ireland and help maximize the region's economic potential.

Read Bio

An engineer at heart, Paul brings over 30 years of innovation and commercialization experience to this role. He started his career in the petro-chemical industry designing and commercializing innovative pressure vessels for Crane Co and then consumer goods for Dimplex.

He then moved into economic development with Invest NI in 2005 and held several programme manager roles in the challenging ‘idea to commercialization’ space. A respected practitioner of technology transfer he designed and developed a regional ‘proof of concept’ programme specifically aimed at Northern Ireland’s market failures.
