I contacted SOLIDWORKS support to ask about a School student code and got a quick reply from the support engineer Jason Gale who confirmed that the code had been updated and promptly came back to me later with the new code, which I was able to pass on to students. Very happy with the support that is always provided, very helpful, prompt and efficient.

They tried v.hard but ultimately didn't solve the problem. It seems that the issue lies in a gap between Altium and SW and that SW software engineer have no way to leverage support from Altium, who don't support PCB connector as they didnt sell it !!
It seems convenient that our IT is blamed for the problem as that is not part of either problem.

Took my model away as i was struggling to make a tool path work and came back with a strategy that worked.

Most of my support queries were answered via phone and remote access. The 2 that needed further investigation were also resolved promptly to my satisfaction

Jason listened to what my issue was and suggested as I was having issues installing via the install manager/download that he we give me a link to download a full media set. Again due to policies and other network issues I was not able to download this at work. I did it from home instead. Once I had the media set on my PC the install went very smoothly without an issues. I am once again able to use SOLIDWORKS Composer.
