Key Accounts Manager

We require an experienced sales manager to sell the SOLIDWORKS portfolio of products and services to an identified selection of key/major accounts, some of which have multiple sites across the UK.

A sales career with the UK’s largest SOLIDWORKS CAD vendor. Due to successful business growth, we are looking to expand our sales team across the UK

We require an experienced sales manager to sell the SOLIDWORKS portfolio of products and services to an identified selection of key/major accounts, some of which have multiple sites across the UK. The management of these accounts and the opportunities within them often require a more ‘considered’ approach and are likely to involve complementary SOLIDWORKS products, enterprise data management solutions and consultancy services.

Prospect opportunities/accounts may also be identified at subsidiaries belonging to groups where Solid Solutions have an existing footprint.

The territory would be UK wide but with named opportunities/accounts within this territory.

Your Experience / Skills

The successful candidate will ideally be from an engineering background with proven sales success of selling SOLIDWORKS (or other CAD) solutions to customer accounts.

They should be a good communicator and be comfortable presenting business benefits to higher level executives within organisations.

Project management skills and the ability to organise resources, to achieve an implementation strategy over a longer timeframe will be crucial.

The Role

  • Management of identified key/large accounts
  • Contact discovery within large accounts to identify key contacts in certain departments/roles
  • Creation and nurturing of relationships with higher level management, via meetings or social events, and bringing in SSM directors, Dassault Management as appropriate.
  • Lead follow-up and qualification
  • Understanding customer requirements via calls and meetings
  • Conducting software demonstrations in conjunction with our technical team
  • Identifying additional opportunities within these identified accounts for simulation, data management, SOLIDWORKS composer, SOLIDWORKS Electrical, training and consultancy
  • Producing quotations and illustrating the value of our solutions
  • Negotiating and closing
  • Assisting in the development of design staff/team for these organisations, whether that be through training, certification, temporary placements or placing of graduates with them
  • Achieving quota and forecasting accurately
