The Opportunity

We are looking for a new member to join our Group IT Team, supporting infrastructure and end users across the group's business. Our head office is in Stareton, but we have offices nationwide so can be flexible on the location of this role.

Job Description

Key Tasks:

End User Support
Logging and managing of incidents and requests
Responding in a timely manner to reported issues/requests
Managing ongoing incidents and requests to resolution as assigned
Prioritising issues

Day to Day Administration of the IT Infrastructure, typically:

User administration
Installation, configuration and updating of hardware and software
Monitoring systems and responding to alerts as required
Delivering IT Infrastructure and Service Projects as required

Your Experience / Skills

The Ideal Candidate:

Minimum of three years' experience in IT Support/System Administration
Experience of Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems
Active Directory
Group Policy
Networking
Experience of Office 365 Administration
Understanding of OS & Network Security
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to communicate in a non-technical manner
Ability to listen and understand requirements
Friendly, approachable, empathetic
Excellent problem solving and analysis skills
Innovative think and inquiring mind
Willing to learn and improve
Proactive
Calm with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
Flexible:
Working hours as from time to time out of hours work will be necessary
Travel to the groups locations as required
Driven and Self Motivated

Desired but not essential:

Experience of Network Infrastructure and Configuration - Switches, Firewalls, Wireless Access Points, VoIP
Experience in supporting remote users
vSphere and Hyper V Virtualisation Experience
IT Certifications
