3D Sketching - Changing Sketch Orientation

Tuesday August 23, 2011 at 12:02pm
Whilst prepping for a Webcast (Best Practice...Weldments) I remembered a couple of neat tricks for changing the orientation of the coordinate system whilst in a 3D Sketch...

Method 1
Use the TAB key whilst editing a 3DSketch

Method 2
Rotate the model the orientation changes normal to the screen

Method 3
This is my favourite, hold down the CTRL key and then select a plane, planar face, or a user-defined coordinate system

Happy Sketching!!
