Shaw Metal Solutions is a fast growing sub contract sheet metal/ metal spinning company based in Halifax , West Yorkshire.
SMS is offering a position for a mature apprentice design engineer who has experience with Solid Works CAD. The position is on a permanent employment basis.
Brief outline of daily duties includes:-
Drawing / designing various sheet metal products using Solid Works 3D from customers drawings , sketches or other descriptions.
Speaking with / meeting, customers to discuss their requirements.
Creating part number structures and inputting them into SMS’s Factory Master System.
Working closely with the Managing Director and CAD office manager re: design and value engineering.
Experience of working in the sheet metal industry would be advantageous but not essential. Essential to the job is working knowledge of SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD.
