Role: Design Engineer

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Design Engineer. You will work closely with our UK and US teams to help grow our product range, as well as the continuous improvement of our existing range.

It is essential the candidate is a self-motivated individual with a creative flair and a can-do attitude. You should enjoy meeting new people and developing sustainable working relationships. Project management skills and attention to details are essential for this role as you will often be required to multitask in a busy environment. You will need to help manage the supply chain and manufacturing processes with our procurement team. The ideal candidate will be competent in both conceptual and technical design.

Position reports to:Design Director

Hours of work: 40 hours per week


Your Experience / Skills

Experience Required

  • Previous experience in a Product Design Role

  • Excellent CAD skills (SOLIDWORKS).

  • Understanding and experience of rendering packages. (Visualize or Keyshot).

  • A high degree of technical knowledge and creative ability with a hands-on approach

  • Visual and spatial awareness.

  • Commercial awareness.

  • Knowledge of industrial processes, techniques, and standards.

  • Knowledge of the AV industry desirable, but not essential.

Competencies and Skills Required

  • Good communication – able to interact with colleagues and customers effectively and professionally.

  • Good team player – creates and maintains effective working relationships, supports their team as well as the CCOMM team, shares experience and knowledge.

  • Strong problem-solving skills – ability to find effective solutions and understands the need of the customer.

  • Self-starter – able to work responsibly and without supervision. A candidate who is adaptable and open to change

  • Good attention to detail. Ability to spot mistakes and rectify them.

  • Good time management and organisation

  • Full, clean driving license & passport


HND or degree in Product / Industrial Design or related subject
3+ years’ experience
