Apem Components Limited, the UK Division of the World leading Industrial component manufacturer Apem Group, have a requirement for a Design Engineer to join our existing Engineering team and to be involved in the design and development of Joystick and keyboard products at our Winchester site.

The successful applicant must be fully conversant with SOLIDWORKS 3D software, and have a knowledge of electro/mechanical type assemblies which will include injection moulded and press metal parts. The work can involve working from a customer specification, which could involve working within an agreed Project timing plan, and be responsible for concept design work through to production and final customer approval within an APQP design process.

The individual must possess superior visualisation skills in interpreting drawings into component form as this is mandatory in converting 3D models and 2D drawings into robust Bills of Materials (BOM’s) & routings. The role is varied and requires the appointed person to be organised, methodical, keen to handle multiple tasks and flexible in their approach to work and able to work under their own initiative with minimum supervision.


Salary is negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.
