Our client is currently seeking to appoint a Bespoke Design Engineer to join their technical team. Industry leaders in the design and manufacture of rooflights, famed for their bespoke designs and conservation focused innovation.

Your Experience / Skills
The Bespoke Design Engineer is responsible for taking a project from order stage all the way through to the finished product, representing the client and ensuring the final product is built to the client’s expectations.
Our client is looking for a Product Designer to carry out the design development of rooflight products to customer specifications. An understanding of 3D CAD software, preferably SOLIDWORKS to produce 3D models for manufacture. Able to demonstrate their technical understanding with a portfolio of design work where the finer details of the design has been considered and resolved.
The role of Bespoke Design Engineer will also involve liaising with suppliers, architects and contractors, therefore excellent communication skills both verbal and written is essential.
Position Overview:
-Identifying and understanding customer’s needs to provide speedy technical advice and support.
-Designing, developing and detailing feasible rooflight solutions.
-Responsibility for managing own workload to meet agreed deadlines.
Qualification:
-Degree in Product Design, Industrial Design or a similar discipline.
-Minimum of 1 year’s relevant work experience/placement within a relevant professional environment - Graduates will be considered.
-Have a good working knowledge of SOLIDWORKS
