Mechanical Design Engineer

Reports to: Hardware Team Lead

Job Purpose:

To provide mechanical design support to current active design projects with additional support to other departments around the business.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

• Responsible for mechanical design following the Analox design and development procedures


• Review the work of engineering peers


• Use technical expertise to contribute to project work


• Write &/or perform verification and validation tests


• Keep up to date in their relevant field (including relevant standards and industry guidelines)


• Responsible for pneumatic designs (gas sampling) following the Analox design & development procedures.

Key competencies:

• Educated to a degree level in a relevant discipline or with extensive relevant job experience


• Knowledge and experience of pneumatic systems design


• Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and design for manufacture (DFM)


• Competent to use CAD design tools (e.g. Solidworks)


• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office
