Senior Product Design Engineer
Your Experience / Skills
Knowledge of SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD (specifically weldments, sheet metal and drawings)
5 years’ experience in a low-batch, high-variation manufacturing environment, although all applicants and backgrounds will be considered.
Ability to communicate confidently with customers, suppliers and group staff.
Self-motivation in personal and departmental development.
Excellent technical aptitude in steel and timber fabrication.
A creative approach to product design.
A methodical, well-researched and pragmatic approach to engineering.
Commercial awareness and a solid understanding of the cost implications of design decisions.
This position will involve concept to delivery product design and the added responsibility of managing the design team's daily workflows and process efficiency.
We are heavy users of SOLIDWORKS' automation capabilities and so the candidate must be confident in creating and maintaining equation-driven models and VB macros.
Qualification:
Degree or equivalent experience in design/engineering. All backgrounds considered
