Description
As the Senior Project Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for leading engineering project teams to deliver bespoke machines and systems for our global medical device customers. Working on a diverse range of innovative engineering projects, you will manage projects from concept through to installation.
Duties and Responsibilities
Senior Project Automation Engineer duties will include:
- Manage bespoke automation equipment design and build projects, including new design and Build to Print Projects
- Take a leadership role with all project stakeholders
- Maintain professional and timely communications with customer and project team
- Develop project objectives and manage project performance, schedule and budget
- Identify project risks and mitigate impact
- Lead the team to deliver a number of design projects through the process from pre-design to post-design checking and review
- Ensure productivity targets are delivered, through stringent planning and tracking of design approach
- Ensure on-time-delivery (OTD) of design work to ensure Adapt meets its customer commitments and maintains its benchmark delivery lead times
- Build strong working relationships with customers, suppliers & project team
Key Requirements:
- High level of proficiency in SOLIDWORKS or similar CAD Software is essential
- At least 8 years experience working in highly regulated industries such as Pharmaceutical and Medical Device
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience of leading a team within a Design or Engineering function
- Excellent Project management skills either acquired through professional qualification and/or extensive on the job experience
- Ability to accurately summarise important technical aspects through accurate technical drawings, version control, technical specifications
- Certification in SOLIDWORKS a distinct advantage
