Description
Naturbeads is a young startup scaling up a new technology to reduce plastic waste in our environment (www.naturbeads.com).
It is estimated that by 2050 there will be more plastics in the ocean than fish. If you, like us, believe that the time to action this is now, join our award-winning startup to contribute to reducing plastic pollution.
Naturbeads is recruiting a chemical/process engineer to focus on the design, prototyping and testing of a novel membrane-based emulsification apparatus for its proprietary process for the mass production of cellulose microbeads.
The engineer will work with the Naturbeads’ team to understand the needs of our process, identifying key requirements and perform modelling and calculations to finalise the optimal design for our process. You have the ability to move from conceptual design to prototyping and testing of unit operations. You will liaise with manufacturers to de-risk the design, fabricate prototypes to test in our pilot plant, and identify a sustainable supply chain for the final product.

You are comfortable with changing priorities and adaptable to work in a fast-paced environment. You prefer a flat organization where everyone from the junior technician to the CEO contributes with the best of their knowledge and expertise to the success of the company.
We are looking for exceptional candidates with experience in membranes, CFD, with hands-on experience in building prototypes, testing, and capable of delivering projects on time. The results of your work will have a major impact on our scale up and commercialization process and your will contribute to preventing hundreds of thousands of plastic microbeads from entering the environment and polluting our planet.
