We are looking for a CAD Design Engineer/IT Assistant to work as part of the team in our Equipment Build Dept.
Responsibliities:
Reporting to the Chief Mechanical Engineer.
Assisting the Chief Mechanical Engineer in generating computer designs or modifying existing designs for proposals or projects from customer or internally generated specifications and prepare design layouts using 3D (SolidWorks) drawing package.
Prepare and review detail drawings and creating bill of materials prepared from design layouts.
Development of existing designs to produce standard products.
Liaise with Application Engineers to assist with generation of specifications and quotations based on customer requirements.
Assistance with coordination of day to day IT related support issues in cooperation with our external IT support partner/s.
Involvement in and contribution to maintenance and continuous improvement of existing IT systems and infrastructure.

Working knowledge of 3D CAD, SolidWorks would be preferred.
An understanding of Design for Manufacture, analysis, engineering calculations and failure reduction techniques.
Willingness to take on responsibility with a “can do” attitude
Ability to display flexibility and openness as well as working well under pressure.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Databases.
Excellent problem solving skills .
Highly motivated, with drive and commitment to deliver and to work to deadlines.
Good communication skills, able to work with other engineers, sales, purchasing, suppliers and customers as necessary.
Experience with IT support and/or general interest and competence in IT an advantage
