Reporting to a Technical/Design Engineer the successful candidate will be responsible for producing Solid Works drawings, as required, by the Manufacturing/Operations departments. They will be based at our Accrington site in Lancashire and be responsible for:
o Reviewing and building Bills of Materials (BOMs)
o Assisting with the uploading of SOLIDWORKS models onto the PDM shared server after these are checked against BOMs to ensure compatibility
o Creating 2D and 3D engineering models and drawings for both the production and sales departments.
o Creating and checking BOMs on manufacturing SAGE system
Reviewing BOMs and drawings for the PDM server
Assisting the product development and design teams as required
Job Title

Candidates will ideally have experience of working in a manufacturing environment and will possess the following skills and competencies:
o Knowledge of Solid Works and proven experience and demonstrable competency in managing all aspects of PDM and BOM libraries and drawing revisions
o Candidates must be technically advanced with the ability to manage complexity, communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a small team.
o Proficiency in the MS Office suite is essential
o Candidates must be resourceful, able to identify and implement improvements to product build files and work effectively under own initiative.
