Opportunity to play a key role in the set up of a relocated design dept. housed within our current production facility. As a key participant in sustaining current client satisfaction, the Design Engineer will create designs for mixed medium packaging initiatives, from concept to production, through collaboration with cross functional teams including on site tooling manufacture, production, quality, and client communication. Customer interaction and scope to create bespoke designs and coordinate design process. Requirement to have progressive experience with CAD technologies ideally SOLIDWORKS to create 3D representations of packaging components as well as finished product. Knowledge of 3D printing would be preferable but not essential.

3+ years of proven experience in thermoforming design or related design activities.
Progressive experience of using modelling software: 3D, SOLIDWORKS, SOLIDWORKS Visualize
Engineering knowledge and experience with tooling design
Knowledge of manufacturing environment involving plastic and paper pulp processes.
Practical Knowledge of 3D printing is a plus.
