POS/POP 3D Designer
Phin Design, a design consultancy based in the West Midlands, are expanding their team and searching for a mid-weight Front End & Development 3D Designer. Our portfolio includes the market leading retail, cosmetic, fragrance and confectionery brands. Examples of our work can be seen in stores on every high street in the UK.
Successful applicants must have a flair for design, be skilled in Solidworks/Photoworks 2010 onwards and have post-graduate commercial experience working under pressure in a design team.
The successful candidate will be working on producing designs for 'point of sale' (temporary, semi-permanent and permanent) displays for blue chip brand and retail clients. Experience in the 'point of sale' 'point of purchase' industry would again be advantageous. This role can include presenting to and meeting with clients, so the right candidate will be interested and comfortable with this. The role would involve both the creation of their own designs from brief inception, initial ideas and modelling, through to assembly presentation documents. In some instances, development through to manufacture with be required however training and guidance will be provided.
Key responsibilities of the role and skills required;
*Modelling 3D POP displays within Solidworks
*POS items (freestanding displays etc.)
*Following merchandising plans to accurately layout product
*Taking briefs
*Initial Ideas
*3D photorealistic visuals to a high level using Solidworks/Photoworks/Photoview 360 (desirable but not essential as training can be given in this area)
*Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
*Expand 3D team skills and knowledge by constantly developing
*Providing ideas and inputting in team meetings to progress team development
*Hand visualisation proficiency and presenting skills would also be desirable but not essential.
