Walker Bros (Elland) Ltd is a fast paced Retail Design and Manufacturer based in Elland , West Yorkshire.
Walker Bros is looking for a Design Engineer with Sheet Metal & Solid Works CAD experience. The candidate must be trained and proficient in the use of SOLIDWORKS. The position is on a permanent employment basis.
Brief outline of daily duties includes:
Designing new products to add to the company’s range of standard products for retail environments.
Drawing / designing various sheet metal and plastic products and retail POS units using Solid Works 3D from customers drawings, sketches and briefs.
Creating and maintaining Bills of Material and Routings and liaising with production in order to establish best manufacturing processes.
Speaking with and meeting, customers to discuss their requirements.
Adhering to Walker Brothers Part Numbering system and have an appreciation of SAP Business 1 (Although not essential as training will be given) Working closely with the Managing Director, sales team, production and the relevant clients in order to complete the design process.
Experience of working in the sheet metal industry would be advantageous but not essential. Essential to the job is working knowledge of SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD.
