Streetspace Group design and manufacture a range of industry leading urban structures meeting our customers’ demands across multiple outlet sectors throughout the UK.
Based near Hythe in Kent this is an exciting period in the company with positive expansion plans and we are looking to strengthen our design team, welcoming applications from suitably qualified CAD Draughtsmen with experience in a steelwork fabrication environment. We require an energetic and dynamic person who wants to be part of a growing organisation!
You will be involved in the draughting of one-off and bespoke manufacture for our canopies, walkways, tensile structures, glazed buildings and greenroof projects through to medium volume production work for the innovative metroSTOR street furniture products that include recycling enclosures, scooter charging stations, cycle parking and outdoor storage units.
We are operating SOLIDWORKS, 2016 design software however it would not be a significant step for an experienced draughtsman to transfer from alternative 3D modelling systems such as Autodesk Inventor, Fusion360 or Siemens Solid Edge.
We would expect each applicant to present a portfolio of their design work along with an explanation of manufacturing techniques employed.

2D & 3D SOLIDWORKS design with detailing experience.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to understand engineer’s requirements.
Producing GA, fabrication, install and BoM from a basic 3D model with engineers sign off.
Ability to visualise designs and overcome problems / obstructions.
Creation of visuals as required from CAD model for approval and production.
Experience with drawing issue and approval process.
