Description
A long established and highly respected supplier of Assembly Tooling, Special Purpose Machines and Automation Products to the Automotive, Aerospace, Machine Tool and Transport Industries.

As a mechanical design engineer you will be designing equipment, including full bespoke machinery, jigs, fixtures and tooling for a diverse customer base. You will also be tasked with elements of project control including schedules and cost tracking.

Your Experience / Skills
To be successful the candidate will need to be able to demonstrate that they possess the following skills, attributes and experiences:

Experience in the mechanical design of complex machinery. Draughting using geometric tolerancing techniques, parts lists generation, FMEA.
Experience of SolidWorks or similar 3D package.

The following skills and experiences are highly desirable:

Pneumatic control system experience.
Large and small project supervision experience
Machinery directive / machine building knowledge
Design Risk assessment

Qualification:

Preferably Mechanical Engineering degree or HNC/D

Salary Range:
Negotiable upon experience
