Suscom is one of the largest suppliers for office seating components but is also involved in designing new products for its range as well as OEM requests from clients. Suscom is a very fast growing company and as a result we are expanding our in-house production of plastic injection moulded parts.

Suscom has a young team who all work well with each other. We are looking for a confident individual who is eager to learn and be an asset to our company. In addition, good time management skills and also be able to work well as an individual and in a group as you may be asked to manage group projects within the company.

Ideally we are looking to have someone with good knowledge using Solidworks. If they have an engineering or mechanical engineering background this would help however, isn’t essential. Other applicants with more limited CAD experience will be considered if they have experience with graphic and/or product design.

This role will involve being involved with all aspects of product design with information flow to sales and marketing. We do not want to be restrictive in this role currently as we would like to explore how involved the individual would like to be with all the company has to offer.

Ideally we are looking for a Product Designer/Developer to work on developing products for the contract/office furniture market.

The ideal candidate would have: -
• Sound working knowledge of Solidworks- a large portion of this position will be using surface modelling, 3D drawing & producing high quality renders
• Understanding of Adobe CS (Illustrator, Photoshop, indesign a must)
• Understanding of different manufacturing methods
• Attention to detail
• Proven experience of developing products
• A keen eye for current market trends and innovation
• Being able to work to deadlines
