We are a well-established and industry leading £4 to £6-million turnover family run business providing fabrication and mechanical installation services to the UK water and sewage treatment industry sector and we have an Immediate Vacancy for an experienced Design/Project Engineer to work within our very busy contracts department.

A working knowledge of AutoCAD LT and Solidworks 3D or similar drawing packages is required together with experience of pipework, pressure vessel and structural steelwork fabrication. Duties will include site surveys and preparation of arrangement and detail drawings for process pipework systems together with associated structural steel work, walkways and access metalwork, pressure vessels and storage tanks. A broad understanding of contractual terms and conditions and experience of managing large-scale mechanical projects from order placement to installation and onsite commissioning would also be a distinct advantage. Frequent site visits and client interface will also be required.

A working knowledge of SolidWorks FEA analysis, particularly stress, loading and flow calculations would be give the candidate an advantage.

This is a very demanding but interesting and rewarding role.

Salary £30-45K P.A. negotiable depending upon experience but will not be a limiting factor for the right applicant.
