The role of the Senior Design Engineer is to take ownership of design activities for Ridgway. You will plan, monitor and control design activities to ensure completion of all projects on time, in full and within budget.
You will be responsible for the quality and delivery of services to the customer.

You will build relationships with customers and suppliers and across the business as a whole. Part of this role is to liaise with the sales, project and production teams to ensure timely delivery of service and to resolve and mitigate problems.

Your Experience / Skills

We are looking for an exceptional candidate who has standalone design management experience working to a high level on multiple engineering designs and is familiar with taking ownership of projects to completion. You will have a proven track record in a 3D design environment using SOLIDWORKS.

You will have first class problem solving skills, be a decisive and creative thinker who is self-motivated, self-starting and highly organized with the ability to work unsupervised.
You will be a degree qualified mechanical engineer or equivalent. You will have a broad engineering background and ideally have experience with special purpose machine design including pneumatics, hydraulics, DFM, DFA and motor and drive systems.
