HDS manufactures and installs a series of models of high performance, industrial, security, fire and energy saving door products and has been successful in both UK and international markets across the range. Key strengths are flexibility, innovation, short chain of command, experience and product knowledge.
The Company currently employs 50 people across the business all operating from head office at Westerhope, Newcastle upon Tyne. The factory comprises approximately 20,000 sq/ft of modern industrial and office space. Computer systems are in place utilising an in house developed access based manufacturing system. The company is financially secure and wholly owns the factory site and all equipment.
We are currently looking to recruit a new position for a Senior mechanical engineer to join a team and take responsibility for -Engineering support of production - re-engineering of existing products - new product testing & development - engineering drawings, technical files and documentation. You will be involved in all aspects of Design and business development of high performance automated industrial doors. Job progression to top management is encouraged.
Responsible to and supporting design director for Product design and development, prototype and testing.
Engineering support to ensure QA conformance.
Origination, supervision of manufacturing documentation and engineering drawings job specific to ensure job compliance to customer specification.
Maintenance and creation of product technical files and drawing control system & registers controlled within ISO 9001-2008.
Product development team member.
QA system support, maintenance of SOP’s, movement to zero defects
Maintaining liaison between sales, production and installation
