Solid People are proud to be working with another client whose mission is to be the leader in food packaging.

Due to company growth, they are now looking to take on a SolidWorks Product Designer.

Detailed Responsibilities:
• Develop and define briefs
• Creativity and product ideation including brainstorming with the project team.
• Concept development.
• CAD surface and solid modelling of packaging products.
• Produce photo-realistic renderings and presentations.
• Design and organise manufacture of prototypes.
• Detailed design for manufacture and creation of engineering drawings.
• Liaison with other development teams for detail design of concepts.

Person Specification

Experience:
• The ideal candidate will preferably have around 2 years’ experience in new product development.
• We would consider a more recent graduate if he or she has the appropriate profile

Skills required:
• Experience with CAD modelling of 3D shapes preferably using Solidworks.
• Ability to generate and clearly communicate inspiring ideas from a given brief.
• Work well as part of a team as well as independently.
• Strong communication skills - for presentations and customer interfacing.
• Working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator for manipulation of artwork and creation of concept images.
• Demonstrate good attention to detail.
• Bright inquisitive mind with strong problem solving skills.
• Excellent time management skills – the ability to work on numerous projects and meet deadlines.
• Have an interest in FMCGs and packaging.
