Description
In order to keep the design machine running smoothly, we need a super motivated, creative 3D designer to join our fun, hard-working team in Birmingham.
Ideally, you will have a design or engineering degree with 1 - 2 years industry experience, have a thorough knowledge of Solidworks (this is important!) with the ability to visualise products to a photo-realistic standard using Keyshot. You are well organised, have excellent communication skills and enjoy a good challenge. You are happy liaising directly with colleagues both in the UK and our Hong Kong offices. You have the ability to multi-task, interpret written briefs and take art-direction. You have the ability to work directly with factories in the UK and China to understand current and future manufacturing techniques, which can be applied to live projects.
You will be working within our design studio on projects for our UK and international partners, specialising in watches, point-of-sale and fragrance packaging design.
Watches – You will be responsible for realising and visualising 3D models from approved 2D designs. You will liaise with the 2D designers to produce new bespoke products. After a training phase, you will be creating all the technical drawings that will be used to aid the manufacturing purposes.
POS (Point of Sale) – Working with the watch designers, you will be designing POS specific to the brand and retailer guidelines.
EDT’s and Toiletries – Again, you will be responsible for realising and visualising 3D models from approved 2D designs. You will liaise with the 2D designers to produce new creative bottle and tube designs.
1 - 2 years industry experience would be preferrable however graduates with no specific industry experience, but are awesome with Solidworks are more than welcome to apply.
