Bakerbellfield have been manufacturing rail interior products for more than 20 years, within the last seven years we have become more of a solution provider for rail interiors. Working closely with our customers we design and manufacture products for rail interiors. We now design and manufacture more than 65% of rail interiors products with the exception of passenger seating.
We have recently embarked on developing our own products for the rail industry. We have an ambitious business plan to extend this sector of our business over the next three years.
Bakerbellfield wish to appoint a mechanical design engineer to work specifically within the sector of our business. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an understanding of rail vehicles so that our products can be integrated into different class vehicles.
The role will involve structural analysis and calculations to support our designs and modifications. We will be looking for the candidate to complete FMEA’s and RAMs along with other documentation associated with the rail industry.
Some project management will be required to ensure that our designs and products are integrated into the vehicles.
You will be responsible to the Lead Mechanical Design Engineer who heads up the design sector of our business.
We currently use Solid Works Professional 2014.
Some conceptual design may be involved depending on the customers’ requirements.
The role will also involve working closely with suppliers, customers and engineers.
We will only consider applicants who have solid works experience.
- Should have an engineering degree.
- Should have some experience in Design & Engineering.
- Must be competent in SolidWorks.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
- be capable of working in a team and to various group standards.
