Design Draughtsperson
Jewers Specialist Doors Ltd are mainly involved in the design and manufacture of some of the World’s largest aircraft hangar doors. We also design and manufacture many other types of specialist industrial doors including blast proof, attack resistant, acoustic & bespoke doors.
The work involves the preparation of general arrangement drawings for client submission based on in house structural design calculations and client drawings, subsequently designing the 3D structural models from which are produced detailed fabrication and machining drawings together with bills of materials for issue to our works and sub-contractors.
A good salary package is offered, bonus and pension scheme.
Your Experience / Skills
Applications are invited from experienced design draughting personnel with a sound background in structural steel, a knowledge of limits & fits and some mechanical and electrical knowledge.
A good knowledge of Solidworks including sheet metal for 3D work and AutoCAD for 2D work is essential.
Qualification:
Candidates should be a disciplined team member, dependable and be able to put a good deal of original thought into their work.
