We have a vacancy for an experienced CAD CAM designer/technician to join our team.
You will be fully conversant in using Solidworks suite as well as AutoCAD or similar 2D packages and be able to deliver client approval drawings as well as internal shop drawing packages for our various projects.
You will need to have good communication skills and be able to liaise with the production team daily on all aspects of the design and assembly, including our HAAS CNC machinery via Solidworks CAM.
Your role will include managing all our drawing data, along with producing BOM and requisition lists which will include flat pattern sheetmetal, and general component DXF for laser and waterjet profiling.
You will work with the technical team and be fully involved with the design of new products, from initial evaluation, prototyping and through to production. You will also be tasked to perform product reviews to evaluate improvements in efficiency or fabrication methods. We use Visualize for customer rendered images, so some experience in this product would also be useful.
Proficient use of Microsoft Office products is essential, as is your ability to work to deadlines.
3-5 years experience in fabrication/manufacturing/mechanical engineering environment.
