CAD Engineer
Reporting to – Engineering Manager
Requirements
• Good literacy skills to effectively communicate
• Good verbal communication skills to effectively communicate internally with all levels and with suppliers & customers
• Confident use of Word / Excel / Outlook
• SOLIDWORKS experience is essential

Job Description;
Responsible to take reasonable care of your own health and safety and to take reasonable care not to put other people - fellow employees and members of the public - at risk by what you do or don't do during your work
• Be aware of risks in department, both office and shop floor based
• Report and resolve issues as they arise, working within up to date legislation
Work as part of the Engineering team in the design, development & realisation of new products;
• Accountable for the following deliverable;
- Creation of Standard and Complex Solid models and drawings
- CAD File storage and management
- Revision control on drawings & cad files
- Drawing & Route card BOM creation
- Ensuring the NES register is up to date with BOM information
- Measuring your time spent on each project to assist resource management & closed loop
- Ensure software & hardware are maintained and kept up to date
- Ensure training needs are identified and raised with Engineering Manager
- Maintain AS9100 compliance on Drawings & CAD files
- Create & Maintain standardised drawing templates
Holiday & sickness Cover
- Responsible to help cover the NPI Engineers duties during times of holiday & sickness
Any other reasonable request as required
In a normal week – It would be anticipated that you would spend your normal time working towards implementation of new products into the manufacturing environment, by creating standard or complex drawings assisting with BOM creation & maintaining inputs into the NES register.
Solidworks experience essential. Engineering background a bonus
Good experience of Excel, Word, Outlook
