Had need to contact Cadtek twice this week one to show me how to create a lofted cut which worked out great and I thank Tim for that and secondly over a problem after I downloaded 2018 onto my laptop, the symbols library wast to working Sarah soon sorted it out for me and I have been able to carry on with my drawings.

This isn't intended as a poor reflection on the Support Engineer - Ian, the problem was caused by a software update conflicting with an admittedly poorly constructed model. The solution resulted in the loss of a portion of data.
I was working on a document & SOLIDWORKS developed a glitch that prevented me from completing a dimension on a relatively simple feature. I was advised to update SOLIDWORKS to Service Pack 3.
After the update, I opened a model containing a thread form composed of a Helix/Spiral on a Taper with a Swept Cut. I noticed a significant increase in lag compared with carrying out the same operation before the update and when I opened the associated drawing, SOLIDWORKS froze up entirely.
After checking graphics settings & driver updates, the only viable solution Ian could come up with was to open the drawing document in Quickview & systematically Load each Sheet to test for a crash then removing the offending sheets.

The Support Engineer was helpful but could not sort the problem. This problem has been raised by our IT Manager as well.

A couple of support engineers looked at a 5-axis modelling challenge for me. They spent a decent amount of time trying to come up with a solution and coming up with some ideas. Ultimately, we still haven't found the ultimate solution but I have enough for a work-around in the time available.

Great support, I just needed a bit of help out of hours which is why I gave a 4 star. A little bit of cover on Sat morning or a little more past 5:30 would of helped me no end in the situation I was in.
