In the first lesson of this course the user will be introduced to opening files within SOLIDWORKS Composer, using views and playing animations. The user will learn how to create rasterised images and insert them into documents and then how to update their SOLIDWORKS Composer content.
Lesson 2 teaches the user key terminology of the software as well as how to identify the principle components of the User Interface. The user will learn how to control preferences and document properties within the software as well as how to create an image file.
In lesson 3 the user will learn how to create and update their views and apply various render styles as well as publish 2D raster content. The user will be taught how to use camera alignment tools to orient the model and how to use the Digger tool to create Detail views.
In lesson 4 the user will be taught how to toggle visibility of certain Actors and create exploded views. They will then add Mark-ups and Annotations and learn how to control appearance of Actors with Styles, finally, creating a vector output.
Lesson 5 begins with importing files from a CAD system, it familiarises the user with the different SOLIDWORKS Composer files types. The user will then learn how to update views with selected Actors or Properties, align geometric Actors and create Explode Lines. Finally the user will learn how to create a custom views.
Upon completion of lesson 6 the user will be able to create Bills of Materials (BOMs), add Callouts and create a vector output.
In lesson 7 the user will learn how to apply Textures and Rendering effects on a model as well as creating custom lighting schemes. Following this the user will create a high resolution output suitable for marketing purposes.
Lesson 8 teaches the user to utilise the Timeline pane to create animations. The user will also learn how to animate position changes for Actors and how to navigate around the Timeline Pane.
In lesson 9 the user will be taught how to animate position and property changes for Actors, animate the Digger and finally, how to add Events to control the animation.
Upon completion of lesson 10 the user will be able to create cameras and add views to the Timeline. The user will learn how to snap to a grid to control the position of Actors, publish 3D AVI files and attach cameras to moving objects.
Lesson 11 teaches the user how to create an animation showing Actors exploding and collapsing. The user will learn how to animate parts and assemblies together as well as using Scenarios to share, save and load animations.
In lesson 12 the user will learn how to update SOLIDWORKS Composer files with changes in the original CAD data as well as how to replace geometry of one Actor with another.
The final lesson of this course teaches the user how to prepare and publish a file to a custom PDF or HTML template, as well as how to add buttons to control Microsoft Word documents.
