Why SOLIDWORKS Essentials?
The SOLIDWORKS Essentials course is recommended to anyone new to SOLIDWORKS. Whether you have migrated from 2D CAD, another 3D system, or have no experience with CAD at all this course is suitable for you.

Starting from the very basics of the program, the course develops looking at modelling essentials required for day to day use of the software, right through to some advanced topics for automating designs. Part and Assembly modelling and also the 2D drawing environment are introduced during this course.

Ewan Fong helped where ever was necessary, and allowed for when people had questions at any time. the flow of the course, personally felt it was quite fast paced (having not used the application ever before the course) - unfortunately I will be working with 2021 and the course is based on 2024, so some new functionalities learnt will be gone by time I use 2024. That a side - very good course, made me want to continue after hours (until system shutdown) to continue practicing.

Although I just started this courses, Ewan does a super and thorough job teaching and instructing, ensuring that the course if informative and most importantly engaging throughout. He moves fast so one has to take the time, and go back as much as as needed to make sure you catch all the jam packed skills required. All in all, this course will get you up and running with all the features and tools SolidWorks has to offer.

Found the course really good , Trainer was extremely knowledgeable and friendly -facilities were excellent, only negative feedback would be course material is to condensed into 4 days needs to be a longer course , i struggled with parts of it and ideally would have liked more time to learn certain parts of the course more in depth.

Solid Works Essential course in general was very good. Callum was very patient and he help every single time we need him. Program was easy to understand and absorb.
But computers were crashing often and chairs were horrible uncomfortable and a lots was simply broken. My chair have no back support at all. I had to sit without any support for my back for four whole days or lie down because the adjustments were broken in three other chairs

I recently completed the SolidWorks Essentials Training course that was presented by course trainer Mike Wilkinson. He presented the course at a good pace which allowed for as much information retention as possible. Mike also had a great knowledge of the software and was able to quickly and concisely answer any questions that came up during the course exercises. Overall a great experience using the Virtual training environment that will definitely be beneficial towards the use of the software in the future.

Our Trainer Mike Wilkinson was great from the get go. he was very patient as well as being extremely knowledgeable. If anyone had any issues or was unsure no one felt like they couldn't ask for help. My experience of the Solidworks Essentials course was fantastic. I went in with a very basic understanding of the software after playing around on it for a couple weeks and feel I learned a lot from the course. I would recommend the Essentials course to anyone new to Solidworks or anyone who has not had former training on the software as there is a lot to learn and use.

Phoebe was my trainer and she was fantastic. She was a very supportive and encouraging teacher. She took her time to make sure she was understood clearly by everyone in the class and encouraged questions, this encouragement of questions I believe benefited everyone as we learned more specific information about how we would utilise Solidworks' tools. Phoebe's use of humour made the leasons enjoyable and more memorable.

I look forward to learning more from any further courses I may take.
