Training for Smap3D Plant Design comes in three sections:
P&ID Training: This introduces the P&ID tool and how to generate new projects. You will create Diagrams for general systems as well as more specialised items such as SubDrawings and Unit Drawings. You also learn how to create your own symbols with the correct data fields. Part and Component Lists are also dealt with as well as the exporting to other file types including PDF.
3D Piping: In 3D Piping we look at how to generate routes purely within SOLIDWORKS. Using Pipe specifications to control the selection of flanges, elbows and other fittings. You will also see how the data from the P&ID section can be used to add further automation to this process. Changing the specification of the pipe runs and the creation of new components is also covered as part of this course to give you a complete look at the processes involved.
Isometric: In this section we look at the creation of Piping Isometric drawings. Customising the Templates and where required the creation of new symbols. You will see how to create separate spool drawings for a pipe run along with detailed cut lists and bills of materials.
