SOLIDWORKS PhotoView 360

TRAINING AGENDA

Lesson Agenda
Introduction - In the introduction of this course the user will learn the 3 three levels of visualization available to SOLIDWORKS users as well as learning about the creative side of the brain.

Lesson 1: Basic Visualisation and Workflow - The user will learn the interface before delving into the suggested workflow for producing a rendered image and practise this process on an assembly model. Appearances, scenes and lighting will be discussed. The preview options will be introduced and the first rendered image will be created.

Lesson 2: Applying Appearances - The user will investigate different kinds of appearances from plastics to emissives to textured materials and apply them at different levels of the model to understand their hierarchy.

Lesson 3: Decals - The user will learn what a decal is, when and how to use it as well as how they make your renders more realistic.

Lesson 4: Views - We will look at using cameras to set views we wish to save and capture. Utilising cameras closely follows the actions of a photographer and we can set the focal length, image focus and image content.

Lesson 5: Scenes, Lighting and Transparent Appearances - Putting your product in a scene where it would actually be in real life is important to get accurate reflections and shadows. In this lesson the user will learn the difference between scenes and backgrounds and control the lighting to properly highlight your products features.

Lesson 6: Display States -Lesson 6 teaches the user how to use display states to represent our model with various appearances and logos with the aim of producing a set of renders representing the entire product range.

Lesson 7: Advanced Lighting Techniques - Lesson 7 aims to improve the realism of your product renders with some more lighting approaches that you follow as well as some extra tools and settings you can use to get you there.

Lesson 8: Output Settings - After you have spent a while setting up your perfect render you don’t want to fall at the final hurdle. In this lesson the user will investigate some of the renderings options to give you different results and qualities. In addition to this how we can schedule renders for after work and even set up other computers to help speed up rendering process.
