Why SOLIDWORKS Motion Simulation?

Motion Simulation is a SOLIDWORKS Premium add-in and allows you to calculate and test mechanisms built into your parts and assemblies.

Using the animation interface of SOLIDWORKS, Motion Simulation can accurately simulate motors and inter-part relationships with graphical outputs such as power usage and cam trace paths, will full kinematic simulation.  If you are only interested in Animations and not 'Physics Results' check out our Animations Course.

Many thanks for taking the time to provide this review. Certainly the SOLIDWORKS Motion course does cover a lot of content but we do run it as a two day course as that is the recommendation from SOLIDWORKS.


Without knowing what aspects you found rushed, there are 2 lessons at the end of the manual which are supplementary. One of the lessons is built upon functionality which is only available in Simulation Professional and so goes a little beyond the course intent. Not all customers have this software or are attending the course to know how to use it, so usually we will demonstrate the functionality so that customers can see what is possible.


The final lesson is also optional and is a Design Project set up with 2 problem scenarios. This does not cover any new functionality but is a chance for customers to test their new Motion Simulation skills and we have found that this works well as a recap project that customers can utilise after attending the course.


I will of course, take your feedback into account when reviewing all training course duration's. I will also email you direct get a better understanding of how you felt regarding the course pace.
