Sameer was very knowledgeable and he was good at transferring his knowledge to us. If you are a beginner or even intermediate by flow simulation, I would suggest to attend the training. I am really satisfied by attending this training.

Jon who ran the flow simulation course was beyond helpful, managing to run the course very successfully, especially considering the mixed ability. I found he explained everything really well but yet also concise. Course was delivered well. Sameer taught the course well by going into a lot of depth and made things easier to understand.

Sameer was very patient, knowledgeable and helpful. However, my aim for attending the course was to use the fluid flow tool to analyse the dynamics of force and torque from the fluid flow within a scroll compressor which is considered a complex geometry. I was disappointed that one limitation of solidworks was that it could readily analyse the dynamics of rotating regions but not orbiting regions that orbits about a point. I would recommend the course to anyone that wants to analyse fluid flow within the capabilities of the software. Please ask the relevant questions before paying for and attending this course as the knowledge will be good but you can be left disappointed if the software cannot do what you want it to do.

Excellent course. Course trainer adapted very well to remote delivery of content - good balance of taught content/exercises. Protected PDF file was slightly fiddly to configure and work with (froze 2-3 times during course). Felt a lot of content to fit into two days - extending to 2.5 days with the remote delivery constraints would have been beneficial.

I understand that you would have liked an explanation of all tools used before progressing to a case study but we do find that the content is easier to absorb in smaller segments. Therefore we do introduce the key topics and aim of the case study but find that adding more detail when using the specific tools, makes it easier to understand and take in. The Instructor was friendly and answered questions well. I think he could have paced the course a little better. Also, sometimes he skipped over sections of the exercise book which led to problems later in the exercise.
Feedback Response: Hello, and many thanks for providing this feedback. Having spoken with the instructor, he did explain that the course did feel 'tight for time'. There are many capabilities within Flow and not all of them are typically used by everyone so we will tailor the content covered based on the interests of that specific class. For example, supersonic flow is typically not applicable to most users so this lesson could either be quickly demonstrated or removed entirely depending on what the group would prefer. Our training team are instructed to ‘always seek the advice of the class’ and I believe that on this occasion the group wanted to cover all topics, so the instructor went through all of the lessons. In an effort to show everything, the instructor didn’t repeat plots which had already been covered but I can see that this may have felt rushed. I will speak with the instructor regarding their classroom time management and how they can better address the requirements of the class ensuring that no one leaves feeling that content has not been covered.

Josh, our course instructor was excellent. He was knowledgeable, patient and clearly conveyed the concepts of flow simulation and how to use the software. However, I was concerned that the huge quantity of Twiglets he ate at lunch might affect his ability to function........ but he proved more than capable of handling it.
