SOLIDWORKS Student Premium (formerly SEK) allows students to work outside the classroom with a home use license.
Student Premium is available for large Education Edition accounts & contains the same products as the Education edition.
Personal Access for Students
SOLIDWORKS Student Edition
£3,156/ 12 month term
The SOLIDWORKS Student Edition is not included with the SOLIDWORKS Education Edition.
Instead it can be purchased by high school and degree-seeking students or full-time faculty members using the software for personal learning or academic purposes.
Home Access for Medium Sized Accounts
SOLIDWORKS Student Standard
£3,876/ 12 month term
SOLIDWORKS Student Standard (formerly SDK) is included with the SOLIDWORKS Education Edition for medium sized accounts.
Student Standard provides students with a home copy of SOLIDWORKS Standard allowing them to continue studying outside the classroom.

If you are a high school or degree-seeking student you can purchase a copy of SOLIDWORKS Student Edition at a huge discount compared to the commercial version.
However, if your school or university already has SOLIDWORKS they may be able to provide you with a free home use copy of Student Standard or Student Premium so we recommend you check before making any purchases.
Students are not entitled to use support and are encouraged ask their teachers or check online resources instead. Useful online resources include such as the SOLIDWORKS FAQs, student support and the SOLIDWORKS forums.
It isn't recommended, or officially supported, to install SOLIDWORKS on a Mac but it is possible if you use BootCamp or Parallels.

No. Unfortunately, SOLIDWORKS is no longer supported on 32bit computers. The last supported release of SOLIDWORKS on 32bit computers was SOLIDWORKS 2014 which is no longer available for download as an educational version.
