What are the minimum system requirements for installing SOLIDWORKS?

When running SOLIDWORKS software, it’s essential to have a machine that is certified and which meets the official SOLIDWORKS system requirements.

The CAD specific desktop and laptops we supply are based on a tightly controlled set of workstation grade components that undergo extensive testing and verification first by Dell and are then sent to SOLIDWORKS and Dassault Systèmes to be certified for software compatibility.

Can SOLIDWORKS be installed on a Mac?

We often get asked about whether it’s possible to run SOLIDWORKS on a Mac. As we have several customers successfully running SOLIDWORKS on Mac computers, the short answer is: Yes, you can!
