Our SWOOD Design Creator Training will teach you how to build an intelligent library of frames, connectors, and SWOODBoxes for use in your SWOOD Design projects.
Course Overview
During the course you will learn how to build a bespoke and intelligent library of frames, connectors, and SWOODBoxes within SWOOD, allowing you to quickly create new furniture designs using processes and hardware unique to your company.
*SWOOD Design is a SOLIDWORKS add-in and works in conjunction with the core SOLIDWORKS toolset.
What You'll Learn
Course Agenda
Lesson 1: Connector Scripting
This lesson will focus on the configuration of the connector library, we will create an intelligent CAM and Dowel connector series, and a Blind Dado style mortise and tenon joint, adding the necessary intelligence and script along the way.
Lesson 2: SWOODBox Scripting: Shelves
This lesson covers how to construct an intelligent and adaptable shelves subassembly that can be inserted into frame projects. We will add rules to control size, quantity, spacing, and necessary machining details.
Lesson 3: SWOODBox Scripting: Hinges
This lesson covers how to construct an intelligent and adaptable hinges subassembly that can be inserted into frame projects. We will add rules to control quantity, spacing, door side, and necessary machining details.
Lesson 4: SWOODBox Scripting: Drawers
This lesson covers how to construct an intelligent and adaptable drawer runner & box subassembly that can be inserted into frame projects. We will add rules to control size, runner configuration, and necessary machining details.
Lesson 5: SWOOD Centre Configurator
SWOOD Centre Configurator is included in every seat of SWOOD Design. SWOOD Centre allows the capture of parameters and dimensions at the top level of a project including SOLIDWORKS dimensions, SOLIDWORKS custom properties, SWOODBox parameters and Panel material information. This lesson covers the use and benefits of SWOOD Centre to control and link multiple SWOODBoxes together.
