SOLIDWORKS How to Run SOLIDWORKS in Software OpenGL Mode thumbnail

If you’re having problems with SOLIDWORKS not performing correctly especially in terms of graphics, you can run in a safe mode, OpenGL. This safe mode removes the graphics card from running in SOLIDWORKS and hence highlights whether or not it is causing a problem.

SOLIDWORKS: How to Run SOLIDWORKS in Software OpenGL Mode

1. Close all instances of SOLIDWORKS.

2. Access in Windows, Start > All Programs > SOLIDWORKS 20XX > SOLIDWORKS Tools 20XX> SOLIDWORKS RX.

3. Select Home.

4. Select Open in Software OpenGL mode.

5. SOLIDWORKS will promptly begin to open 

Please use SOLIDWORKS in this mode for a suitable length of time; to establish whether the issue persists or not.
